Christmas was wonderful. Mom and Dad couldn't make it this year. But one day, the whole family will be together again. That will be great.

Sean and Asia did help me a little bit with cookies and baking. Asia wasn't feeling too well with a cold but we worked around it. We gloved her up and Sean. And Scott found a painters mask too. She looked so cute.

And once again the elves visted the house and made a mess. They got in the house somehow and tp's Sean's room. The kids were thrilled to have visitors from the North Pole.

And JJ got here on Christmas Eve just in time for dinner. Scott the kids and I went to the Christmas Eve service first and met J for dinner at the Chinese restaurant. He ended up having to work that day so he couldn't get here as soon as we had hoped. And Kim ended up having things come up too. So she was missed the Eve.

But I'll tell you what. I think we're going to do Chinese from now on on the Eve. Not only did I not have to rush around prepping food (which I normally love), but we spent a lot less to. Less is always good. :) But we had a really nice meal, no clean up. And then we went home and got ready for the next day.

Kim arrived at 7 to help me get set up and ready before the kids got up. And sure enough, they got up at 8:00. It was all we could do to keep them off of J. He was so tired he didn't get up until 8:30. So once he was up we got started.

But we read the Nativity story. Have to keep traditions alive. And after we prayed we opened presents. We are truly blessed. We had a really good time with one another.

It was too soon when Kim and J had to go but all good things must come to an end sometime. But before J left, he spent some time with Asia and made the gingerbread house with her that Grandma had sent. And Sean made a cool model jet he got in his stocking.
