Elite 8
Scott's football team at school this year had an amazing season. The made it to the 3rd round of the playoff this year and were undefeated during the season!

We drove - what seemed like forever to watch the varsity boys play at Clinch County (who is ranked #1). We were ranked #2 and knew we had a battle ahead of us.

We dominated the 1st quarter, 3rd and most of the 4th quarter but the other team came back with 4 minutes left on the board and scored to win the ball game. Final score was 27 - 34. It was heartbreaking to see them lose but you couldn't be anything but proud of their effort that game and all season long.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I took a bunch of pictures when everyone came up and down for dinner. We had quite the crew! It was awesome having everyone. If it was my choice, we'd do it every week.
Career Day!

Well actually the kids just wanted to come to work with me. Since it was Thanksgiving Break at school, the kids had a whole week off. So what did they want to do - come to work with me.

Asia's coloring in my friend Jodie's office. She's the nutritionalist.

Tuesday before Thanksgiving the kids got up early, got dressed, had a small bite to eat and hoppped in the car with me. They didn't eat that much because they knew they could once we got to work. (We're very spoiled.)

The kids playing wii in one of the break areas.

Watching a movie at my desk

I was a bit nervous about bringing both of them at the same time not knowing how they would be together in such close quarters for a full day but they were sooooo good! I got more compliments on how well behaved the kids were that day. They made me proud.

Asia took this picture of Sean as we headed off to lunch at the cafe.

Auntie Kim's
The kids and I visited Auntie Kim today to take a few goodies to her (and see all the fun changes and improvements to her house).

The floors are stained a beautiful cherry. They'll move the fridge and island in on Monday or Tuesday.

The pool area is starting to come along. The drain was put in and new concrete was laid. No more cracks or leaks!

Her white leather furniture is gorgeous. Once she finishes organizing everything and gets things where she wants them, it's going to look so nice!

Can't wait for Thanksgiving to come! We have a slew of people coming which is exciting. Karima and Keith are coming from Virginia! It's going to be awesome to see her and meet Keith. It's been a really long time since we've all seen Karima. Kim, Kendall, JJ and Celine, Laura, Johnny, Julie and then all of us will be here.

Usually we do Black Friday, but this year, we're going to nix it. With so many in town we wouldn't be able to do it with everyone. I might venture out maybe. We'll see.

I am off to a good start though with my menu. I prepped 4 pies this weekend (Pecan, Vinegar Pie{chocolate pecan}, Apple and Cherry Pie. I put those in the freezer. I also prepped 4 cookie doughs this evening, weighed them out, rolled them and put them in the fridge for baking on Wednesday. So the only desserts left to make is the pumpkin pie and the sweet potato pie. I'll have all of my dishes prepped Wednesday so I won't have to do as many dishes Thursday.

Running Out onto the Court for the Game

Asia played really well during her basketball game on Saturday. She definitely handles the ball well. She was "juking" out the other players and making the moves on the court. It was so cute! Scott couldn't see her play because he and the head football coach had to drive to forever away to do a coin toss and determine where the boys were going to play, home or away. We lost the toss so the boys will have to travel to Never Never Land Friday morning after Thanksgiving.

Made another basket during the game - the only one on her team. MVP for sure.

First Night of Practice

Football season is offically over for Sean and we're now into basketball for Sean and Asia. Typically they both have practice Thursday evenings but today only Sean had practice.

It was pretty paingful for Scott - Sean's practice. The coach had them scrimmage the entire time (and this is only the 2nd day of practice, scrimmaging already)! I wonder if he'll ever work fundamentals with the boys? Hmmm. But Sean seemed to enjoy himself. Guess that's what matters at this point really.

Asia played around in the gym while Bubba "practiced". She and I am home now and the guys are still at the gym. Scott is probably really stuggling now watching the whole thing. Will be funny to hear what he has to say about it when he gets home tonight.

This picture of Asia is with her Indian headress that she made for the Thanksgiving program.

Sean Pictures

Some fun Pictures

Playoff!

Sean's football team made it to the first round of the playoffs. Sean has had an amazing season. He didn't play much offensively but had a great season defensively. He hit hard, made several inteceptions and made a lot of tackles for losses.

This game was against the Colts, the number 1 team in the league. It was a great game, ending in a tie at 19 - 19 so we went into overtime. Unfortunately we losing in overtime but Sean played well and is looking forward to basketball now.
