Eagles Landing Christian vs North Florida Christian 27-0

Friday the boys from our school had a football game against the high school where Scott graduated from. He also had coached there for three years before heading off to coach at Liberty. The connections he had allowed him to get the game on the calendar. North Florida is supposed to come to our school next fall for a game.

Laura and Cousin Linda

When we arrived at the school - of course there was a lot of excitement in the air. It's football for one of many reasons. Well, the first quarter it seemed like we were pretty evenly matched. Neither team wasn't having a whole lot of success. Well, once our boys figured out their offense and their defense, it was all over.

Sean excited to be with the Tucker Boys again

I'm not even going to try to provide commentary because I don't have a clue. I recognize signals from the refs and I can follow the game enough to know what's going on (it only took 12 years of marriage to a football coach to learn the game). All I'm going to say is, it was an exciting game - some great hits and was a lot of fun to watch.

We also had more fans in the stadium than they did I think. Our school really travels well. The boys were well supported. Amazingly enough, a lot of the schools alumni were on our side of the field - mostly to support Scott I think.

It was almost like a mini reunion from the number of people there to see Scott and the Queen Clan - a lot of history.

See you Later Nana

We got the news that Nana went to be with Jesus Tuesday morning around 4am. We headed down to Tallahassee Wednesday evening to be with Laura and Johnny and the rest of the family. When we arrived, Laura's cousin Linda and her husband Phil were there and Julie had already gone home for the evening.

Thursday early evening we went to the funeral home for visitations and the service was held later that evening. There were a ton of people that showed up to love on Laura and support her and the pastor preformed a beautiful service. There were also a lot of beautiful pictures of Nana that Laura had picked out and Julie had framed displayed that depicted a bit of Nana's life. There waa quiet burial ceremony the following morning with just family members.

The house resembled a deli/nursery. There was so much food that family friends and people from the church had brought that it could have fed a small country I think. The flowers kept coming too, gorgeous bouquets were everywhere. You could see how much Nana and Laura are loved.

It's sad thinking that we won't see Nana when we go visit but it's awesome knowing where she is and that we'll be able to see her again one day.

Birthday Boy!

I still can't believe that Sean is 11. It seems like just yesterday that he was born. Scott and I were looking at baby pictures wondering where all the time went - too fast though that's for sure.

Well, to say the least, Sean was excited about turning 11 because that meant that he no longer had to order off the kids menu. I think that was one of the foreseen highlights of the day. So, to kick off that momentous occasion, he reqeusted to go to Outback for his birthday dinner.

Johnny, Laura and Nana made the drive up from Florida to celebrate Sean's big day. Kim drove down from after work and met us at the restaurant. And I made sure to get off of work just a little early too.

We got settled in at the restaurant and we're all reading the menu deciding to order. We (all the adults) had their items and Asia knew what she wanted. Sean - he couldn't find anything he wanted or that "sounded good". He ended up ordering Mac and Cheese off the kids menu at the end. So much for the grown up menu.

Sean really enjoyed his birthday. He got some really nice gifts from everyone. His favorite after his PSP was a cell phone which he now has come to realize is a "leash" of sorts. (Don't think it's his fav anymore.)

Track Season

Sean really did well during track. He ran in several events - 300m Hurdles, 400m dash, 100m dash, 200m, 800M, 4x100 and the 4x4. He also did the long jump, triple and the high jump. His coach put him in A LOT of events early on in the season. Poor buddy was worn out!

But nearing the second half of the season, his coach realizing that he wasn't physically able to do all those events in one meet and do them all well, decided to narrow it down.

Sean did really well in the both the long and the high jump. He's practicing his flops in this picture. He really likes the triple and will probably excel there too. He ran the 300m Hurdles tough as well as the 400. It's going to be fun watching him develop in the sport and I'm so glad he enjoyed it so much!

Asia Turns 7! (several months ago)

Here are some fun pictures of Asia at her birthday bash at home. She asked for a chocolate and strawberry cake (which she didn't even eat). She had ice cream and opened lots of presents of which her favorite was a motor scooter.

She got a ton of clothes - little fashionista and a some toys. Here she's modeling one of the cute "sports" outfits that she recieved.

This is a little out of order but we actually got a really nice family picture during Easter. We had gone down to Florida to spend the time with Johnny and Laura and they took a great picture of all of us.

Yeah! A New Post!

I've been so busy (which is no excuse). But I really haven't been motivated to log in and update the blog. I have taken pictures but haven't loaded any. Soooo instead of starting from today's photos I figured I'd start with Asia's graduation from Kindergarten. (So exciting) She's in First Grade now - amazing.

I was so proud of her overcoming her shyness and being willing to open the ceremonies in prayer for the entire school! She practiced for days!
