We got the news that Nana went to be with Jesus Tuesday morning around 4am. We headed down to Tallahassee Wednesday evening to be with Laura and Johnny and the rest of the family. When we arrived, Laura's cousin Linda and her husband Phil were there and Julie had already gone home for the evening.
Thursday early evening we went to the funeral home for visitations and the service was held later that evening. There were a ton of people that showed up to love on Laura and support her and the pastor preformed a beautiful service. There were also a lot of beautiful pictures of Nana that Laura had picked out and Julie had framed displayed that depicted a bit of Nana's life. There waa quiet burial ceremony the following morning with just family members.
The house resembled a deli/nursery. There was so much food that family friends and people from the church had brought that it could have fed a small country I think. The flowers kept coming too, gorgeous bouquets were everywhere. You could see how much Nana and Laura are loved.
It's sad thinking that we won't see Nana when we go visit but it's awesome knowing where she is and that we'll be able to see her again one day.
